Focuses on the math concepts and skills taught to young children and effective strategies to teach and assess them. Integrates meaningful mathematics curriculum that aligns with key learning goals and standards. Explores effective and engaging learning environments that support mathematical understanding, assessing students' mathematical thinking and learning outcomes, and leveraging technology in appropriate and meaningful ways to enhance instruction in early childhood math classrooms. Provides opportunities to engage in and design meaningful learning experiences. Includes research-based and culturally relevant teaching practices for teaching, differentiated instruction to support diverse learners, and cultivating an enthusiasm for mathematics learning.
