Examines content related to writing and literature in early childhood education for children birth to age 8. Focuses on the concepts and skills related to writing, as well as the strategies and methods for teaching them. Explores literature and selecting and using literature in the classroom to promote literacy and language development. Includes exploration, analysis, and evaluation of materials, activities, instructional techniques, and assessment. Provides opportunities to engage in and design meaningful learning experiences for writing and literature.
