Principal Internship I

Catalog description
Students engage in the first semester of a cumulative, three-semester principal leadership internship experience that serves as the capstone for the Educational Administration program. In consultation with their Principal Mentor and University Supervisor, students complete one-third of the required Internship Activities from the Illinois School Code Part 30 rules for principal leadership internships, including the Focus Areas and Critical Competencies. In addition, students must take the Illinois Licensure Testing System #195 exam, and attend attend required seminars, and engage in site visits during this course the required seminars during this course. Students submit a formative portfolio at the end of EDAD 8206 and continue developing this portfolio in subsequent internship courses.
