Catalog description

The first term of a two-term sequence (CHEM341 and CHEM343). Covers applications of modern principles of chemistry to elucidate structure, reactivity, and physical and spectroscopic properties of organic compounds. Chemical bonds, molecular structure, functional groups, stereochemistry of organic compounds, and mechanisms of organic reactions are emphasized. UV-visible, IR, and NMR spectroscopy are included for structure elucidation of organic compounds.
