Facilitates the development of clinical decision-making skills for graduate students in Communication Disorders. Topics include scope of practice in speech-language pathology, ethics, problem solving in assessment and management, evidence-based practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Linguistic and cultural diversity, federal and state laws and regulations, and policies and procedures relevant to specific work settings also are reviewed.
