Investigates the differential diagnosis and common treatment approaches for motor speech disorders resulting from congenital, acquired/nonprogressive, and degenerative/progressive neurological disorders (e.g., Parkinson's Disease). Analyzes diagnostic and treatment methods related to the various subsystems of respiration, phonation, articulation, resonance, and prosody.
