Catalog description
Prepares students to function effectively in a bilingual classroom. Examines specialized instructional strategies, materials, and evaluation stemming from various theories of teaching and learning. Introduces students to the development of culturally responsive standards-based units and lesson plans. Includes researching instructional practices, needs of multilingual students, pedagogical processes, the inclusion linguistic and academic strengths and reflects on their own language development. Conducts and evaluates research on the multilingual pedagogical methodologies.Requires 20 clock-hours of field experience.
