Catalog description

Provides an overview of multicultural issues, with special attention paid to the substance use disorders population. Provides knowledge on issues relating to aging, culture, disability, ethnicity, race, religion/spirituality, gender, gender identify, sexual orientation, marital status/partnerships, language, socioeconomic status and addiction. Special attention is given to disparities in access to substance abuse care. Develops skills for intervening more effectively with a diverse group of individuals/clients/patients.
