Principles of Respiratory Care

Catalog description

This course introduces students to basic principles of clinical respiratory care. Topics include: medical gas therapy, patient assessment, OSHA and infection control standards, oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, humidification, bronchial hygiene therapy, hyperinflation therapy, ethics and professionalism, and medical documentation. This course includes a skills practice lab. Prerequisite: BIO 212. Offered: F, Sp.
