Catalog description

This course builds on the professional nurse's theoretical framework, knowledge, and skills necessary to perform a comprehensive health assessment and physical examination on clients across the lifespan. The focus is on providing a person-centered assessment that is holistic, individualized, respectful, compassionate, and developmentally appropriate. Students will advance their communication skills to facilitate a partnership approach to quality care. Emphasis is placed on developing a culture of patient safety through virtual simulations.
