Catalog description

This course gives students the opportunity to learn about the cellular and organ changes that occur with disease and their effects on total body function. There is a focus on the mechanisms of the underlying disease. Students will combine knowledge of pathophysiology, holistic health assessment, and clinical judgment to identify actual or potential health problems. Knowledge and skills learned during this course will enable students to develop individualized plans of care to provide compassionate, person-centered care across the lifespan.
