Catalog description
Community-based HLTH interventions are a major public HLTH strategy for promoting population HLTH. This course provides an introduction to the foundations of community-based HLTH interventions and the factors influencing their design, implementation, evaluation, and outcomes. Using SOCI ecological and community-based participatory frameworks, key principles and strategies underlying community-based HLTH interventions are examined. Successful community-based strategies for addressing various public HLTH issues are assessed. Challenges to implementing, evaluating and sustaining successful community-based HLTH interventions, and implications for promoting HLTH equity are discussed.
