Catalog description
This course introduces students to the foundations for clinical practice, applied communications, medical business practices, medical law and ethics, and safety and emergency practices. The student will learn basic medical procedures, medical asepsis, creating and maintaining a medical record, vital signs, common mensuration's, and the importance of Universal Precautions. Topics will address assisting the physician with patient history and physical exams, as well as establishing and maintaining the examination room.
