Catalog description

This course provides students fundamental mathematical skills designed for practicl application in everyday scenarios. Emphasizing real-world relevance, students will use percentages, decimals, and proportions to address authentic challenges. Additionally,the course delves ito basic statistical computations like mean, median, and standard deviation, enabling students to gain insights from data sets. Students will also explore personal finance topics, including interest and investments, and perform calculations for making well-informed financial decisions. By the end of the course, the students will demonstrate the skills necessary to navigate various everyday mathematical situations confidently. Offered: F, Sp, Su.
