Catalog description

This comprehensive capstone course prepares Funeral Service students for professional licensure by providing a comprehensive review of the critical knowledge essential to successful National Board Exam performance. The course synthesizes theoretical knowledge, practical competencies, and professional standards across funeral service education, strategically targeting key assessment areas and licensure requirements. Students will engage in intensive, focused preparation to demonstrate mastery of professional competencies through rigorous diagnostic testing and targeted content review, ensuring readiness for national certification during the final semester of the academic program. An overall grade of an 80 is required to pass the course.
