Catalog description

PREREQUISITE: NONE This course is designed to introduce the legal and regulatory environment in which BUSNses must operate, as well as the ethical considerations which are a part of the BUSNs environment. A review of the court system, litigation process, and regulatory process will be provided. The rule of law, laws regarding property, public and private as well as civil and criminal law will be covered. State laws regarding incorporation, licensing, tax and regulatory filings and legal recourses to public acts will be discussed. Federal and State employment and labor laws will also be an important part of this course. (F, Su)
