Catalog description

This course examines the role of effective strategy in assisting organizations to take a proactive stance with respect to the environment and competition. Topics include strategic posture, evolution versus formulation of strategy, strategy in the not-for-profit and government sectors, ethical issues and the role of culture. A strategic audit is performed in the field to apply the concepts being learned. Case studies are utilized extensively. Prerequisite(s): ACC644, ECO642, FIN623, HRM650, MGT610, MKT615
