Catalog description

This course prepares students to be informed consumers and effective communicators of health information in professional and community settings. Students will develop the skills to locate, read, and critically evaluate health data from major public health sources; interpret key measures of population health, including rates, trends, and disease burden; and identify common sources of misleading or incomplete health information. Prerequisites: PBH 101 and SOC 210 with a “C” or better.
