Catalog description
This capstone course for the Human Resource Management program examines the legal and regulatory framework governing the employer-employee relationship in contemporary organizations. Topics include employment discrimination, wage and hour laws, labor relations, workplace safety, employee rights, compliance management, workplace investigations, and legal risk mitigation. Students will analyze case studies, interpret employment regulations, and apply legal principles to organizational decision-making to promote ethical, compliant, and effective workplace practices. This course should be taken during the final term of a student’s degree program. Prerequisites: HRM 330 or BSM 330, HRM 400, and HRM 410 with a “C” or better. Human Services
