Catalog description

This course provides an in-depth examination of compensation systems, employee benefits, and total rewards strategies within contemporary organizations. Topics include job analysis, compensation structures, pay equity, wage and salary administration, incentive compensation, employee benefits, retirement programs, healthcare benefits, compensation compliance, and strategic total rewards management. Students will analyze compensation practices, evaluate reward systems, and apply compensation principles to organizational decision-making that supports employee engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness. Prerequisite: HRM 330 or BSM 330 with a “C” or better.
