Catalog description

This course is an introduction to the theory of macroeconomics through an examination of the nature and operation of the American economic system. The study will provide a basic background of economics and the theory of supply and demand. After addressing issues of trade and international economics, the course will move on to macro specific issues. We will learn about important macroeconomic measurements and will address how the federal government interacts with the economy through monetary and fiscal policies. Prerequisite: MAT 094 or by placement.
