Catalog description

This course is an introduction to data structures. Topics include, the design and implementation of data structures as abstract data types, algorithm analysis, indexed (array-based) and linked (node-based) structures, bags, stacks, queues, priority queues, lists, trees, sets, dictionaries, hashing techniques, graphs, and searching and sorting techniques. Assignments using the Python programming language allow students to gain experience using data structures. Prerequisite: CIS 211 with a "C" or better.
