Catalog description

This combined lecture and laboratory course is the second in a two-quarter sequence examining the biological and chemical processes of the human body from the cellular to the organismal level. Topics include the cardiovascular, endocrine, lymphatic and immune, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive systems, as well as metabolism and fluid, electrolyte, and acid–base balance. Laboratory activities reinforce lecture content. Lecture 4.5 hours; Laboratory 1.5 hours. Prerequisite: BIO 207.
