Catalog description

This combined lecture and laboratory course is the first in a two-quarter sequence examining the biological and chemical processes of the human body from the cellular to the organismal level. Topics include biological chemistry, cell structure and function, tissues, and the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems. Laboratory activities reinforce lecture content. Lecture 4.5 hours; Laboratory 1.5 hours. Prerequisite: BIO 123 or BIO 211.
