Catalog description

Clinical psychologists often have a variety of professional roles and we will discuss some of the career paths that clinical psychologists follow, such as research, teaching, intervention and public policy. The required textbook for the course will provide you with an overview of the current research and theory on the causes, descriptions and treatments of different psychological disorders. Lectures, discussions and films will supplement the test, allowing for a more broad-based coverage of the material. Sections are a required part of the course and will allow for a more detailed examination of some of the topics. Laboratory/research experience is included.
