Catalog description
In this course, the concepts will necessitate a higher level of critical thinking when exploring interrelationships between physical and psychosocial co-morbidities, and students will intentionally apply the nursing process in the care of adult and gerontological clients. The clinical skills lab, clinical simulation lab, and off-site clinical experiences will engage students in the nursing care of adult and mental health clients. Additionally, students will continue to explore the needs of vulnerable populations and how family dynamics affect overall health. Students will examine concepts related to the health of individuals with the addition of families and be challenged to use evidence-based practice in planning care.
