Integrated Pathophysiology and Pharmacology I

Catalog description

Building on previous science and mathematics courses, this course provides opportunities for students to explore basic concepts related to pharmacology including pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. This course further introduces students to the concepts of altered function and adaptive responses in individuals because of illness, injury, and/or disease across the lifespan. Discussion of the pathophysiology of select diseases/illnesses and pharmacotherapies used in the treatment of these diagnoses provide the foundation for this course.
