Catalog description

Topics to be covered include an introduction to statistical modeling, non-parametric statistics, two-way ANOVA, Generalized Linear Models, and analysis of count and survey data. Emphasis will be placed on using technology to support statistical methods in the analysis of real-world data. Upon successful completion of the Statistical Methods, the students should be able to: 1) Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis and statistical concepts; 2) Communicate critically reasoned analysis to different audiences; 3) Proficiently use statistical software for data analysis; 4) Differentiate and apply Non-Parametric Methods; 5) Develop and apply graphical representations of multivariate data; 6) Perform simulations to generate data in order to solve applied problems; 7) Analyze data through an array of Regression Models; 8) Conduct statistical analysis of Survey Data.
