Catalog description

Upon completion of this course a student will be able to: (1) interpret and use precise mathematical language and be able to construct and follow mathematical proofs; (2) use a complete catalog of the tools of calculus (e.g., limits, continuity, differentiation and integration); (3) demonstrate mathematical creativity and critical thinking by applying problem-solving strategies to solve multiple-step calculus problems; (4) demonstrate an understanding of the interconnectedness between the major topics in the course from various perspectives (i.e. graphical, numerical, symbolic and verbal); (5) Use appropriate technology in the evaluation, analysis and synthesis of information in problem-solving situations.
