Directed Reading and Research

Catalog description

This course promotes faculty-student research leading to potential publications, professional conference presentations, and rigorous preparation for graduate school. Students wishing to enroll in this course must submit a brief proposal and co-develop course objectives and outcomes with the instructor. All proposals must be further reviewed by the Department Chair or Discipline Coordinator to verify curriculum and determine credit hours. Course requirements must include an impactful deliverable such as a research paper or conference presentation. This course may be repeated for credit when the topic varies.
