Public Health Program Planning

Catalog description

Students will apply skills developed in this class and other courses to develop a program plan. Bi-weekly, students will take part in field working with their classmates, community leaders, and public health professionals in the development of a health promotion assessment and program plan that is relevant to the community partners. The course emphasizes the important role of community based participatory research and action and the relevance of diversity and disparities in the development of effective public health programs.
