This course examines the history, theories, and methods of historic preservation. Topics covered include preservation law, ethics, economics, and politics; historic preservation at the local, state and federal levels; renovation approaches for historic architecture; and revitalization of historic districts and sites. This course may include field trips to historic sites, local museums and historic neighborhoods
