Exercise Science Practicum

Catalog description

Students will develop strong practical skills by leading, instructing, and supervising participants during aerobic, resistance, and flexibility exercise under the direct supervision of experienced faculty. Students may also take practicum as an elective in addition to internship, provided the prerequisites are met. Students who have successfully completed the course will: Demonstrate proficiency in exercise test administration. Interpret resting measurement and exercise test information to participants. Prescribe and implement appropriate exercise programs. Instruct and correct exercise form. Present oral communications on various health topics to the community.
