Exercise Science Internship

Catalog description

Students are required to complete a minimum of 150 hours on site (for 3 credit hours) or a minimum of 300 contact hours on site (for 6 credit hours) across the semester. Alternatively, students may take this course on two separate occasions for 3 credit hours each to optimize their practical experience in the field of EXSC. This is an experienced based learning course under the direct supervision of an internship supervisor on site and overseen by an EXSC faculty coordinator. Students who wish to enroll in this course must have completed EXSC 4100K, apply for acceptance into the internship by the application date, and receive approval from their major adviser and the internship committee for both 3 and 6 hour options. Furthermore, the location and experience goals of the internship must be approved by the EXSC internship committee.
