Catalog description

This course provides instruction on technical and professional editing in business/industry, non-profit, technical, scientific, and government settings. It focuses on how editors develop objectives, improve print and electronic texts and visuals, and establish and maintain relationships with authors and other stakeholders. Because editors are often responsible for a document from planning through production, layout, document design, and contemporary production processes are also covered. Instruction includes copy marking, copyediting, comprehensive editing, and copyright issues.
