Topics in Middle Grades Mathematics

Catalog description

It provides teacher candidates with a deep understanding of middle grades topics including number operations on the real numbers; ratio and proportions; linear equations, and functions. This course will emphasize algebraic thinking, problem solving, reasoning and sense making, connection among mathematical ideas, and use of technology to enhance learning experiences.
