Foundations of Reading

Catalog description

This course focuses on translating what is known about how individuals learn to read into evidence-based reading instruction. Students will explore theoretical and practical differences between various approaches to teaching reading and learn how to implement strategies to improve pupils' word-level reading, spelling, background knowledge, vocabulary, and written expression.
