Catalog description

Students will engage in an examination of the nature and function of culture, development of individual and group cultural identity, definitions and implications of diversity, and the influences of culture on learning, development, and pedagogy. Students will achieve broader global awareness and perspectives and learn to successfully interact in an increasingly global community. This course contains required field assignment which incorporates experiential learning. This course is a designated "i-course," signifying that at least 30% of the course content is international or global.
