Catalog description
During the internship, students are expected to integrate classroom knowledge with real-life work experience, develop practical career-related skills and training, explore a career before graduation, and obtain work experience and professional contacts for future job seeking. Students must contact the CJCR internship coordinator the semester before they plan to complete an internship to request assistance with the application process. Students must be approved for an internship prior to enrollment in the course. The internship consists of 120 service hours in the field for a 3-credit course and 240 hours of service for a 6-credit course. The student must earn a minimum of 3 credit hours in a given semester. 3-6 credit hours, repeatable for up to two semesters for a maximum of 6 credit hours.
