Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: (1) explain the ecological principles upon which conservation is based; (2) describe the major approaches to conservation, including the differences and common threads; (3) demonstrate how ecological principles are currently applied to the conservation; (4) demonstrate an understanding of basic conservation biology issues.
