Catalog description
Classical and modern techniques of modeling, analyzing and mining multivariate data. Topics include multivariate normal theory, multivariate linear regression, principal components, classification, factor analysis, clustering, multidimensional scaling, EM algorithm, CART, modern predictive modeling and statistical learning methods. Applications to data analytics. Computer implementation via a statistical package is an integral part of the course. Offered by Statistics . May not be repeated for credit.
