Catalog description
Introduces problems and techniques inherent in design of experiments, which refers to planning an experiment so that collected data can be analyzed by statistical methods. Covers the two aspects to any experimental problem: the design itself and the analysis of the resulting data. Examples from numerous disciplines in the sciences and the humanities are discussed. Data analysis is emphasized. Notes: Students may not receive credit for both STAT 455 and STAT 517 . Offered by Statistics . May not be repeated for credit.
