Catalog description

Addresses the role and influence of politics, economics, and cultural and social values on social welfare policy. Develops knowledge, values, and skills to analyze, influence, evaluate, and address public policy. Examines theory and best practices to advance social work policy. Applies advanced policy practice skills to advocate for change to promote and ensure social and economic justice, with special attention to racial and ethnic minorities, women, LGBT persons, children and youth, and other populations at risk.
