Integrative person-in-environment approach frames the understanding of human behavior within the influences of oppression, privilege, and distribution of power in society. The life course perspective will be applied to assess the impact of life events, trauma, transitions and change, timing, and historical context on behavior and development. Opportunities will be afforded to critically analyze interactions of the person within their social environment and methods for human rights and social, racial, economic, and environmental justice advocacy.
