Catalog description

Course examines the causes, consequences, and potential remedies of violence. Exploring topics ranging from poverty to climate crisis, explores how violence is structured, how to shift to nonviolent conflict and institutions, and promote peaceful lifestyles and international relations. Examines direct, structural, cultural, and ecological forms of violence as fundamental problems facing humanity and the ecosphere. Also considers how nonviolent movements have precipitated major positive changes. Offered by Sociology & Anthropology . Limited to three attempts.
