This course will focus on the oldest known Christian literature, the letters by Saint Paul. The course will explore these letters in their first-century historical and literary contexts, while also surveying some of the most relevant contemporary theoretical approaches to the letters (e.g., feminist, queer, affective, African American, and economic approaches).
