Catalog description

Introduces range of current issues in air transportation, including public policy toward the industry, industry economics, system capacity, current system modeling capability, human factors considerations, safety analysis and surveillance systems, and new technological developments. Students expected to develop broad understanding of contemporary and future issues. Knowledge evaluated through class discussions, a take-home midterm exam and a term project to be completed by the end of the semester. Offered by Systems Engr & Operations Rsch . May not be repeated for credit. Equivalent to SYST 660 .
