Catalog description

Analyzes the professional role of family psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners. Students share assessment, diagnostic, intervention, evaluation, teaching-coaching, cultural competence, and therapeutic relationship development techniques through case studies from their practica. Management of client cases are evaluated and discussed. Students analyze the impact of advocacy actions, including duty to report, on the therapeutic relationship. Offered by Nursing . May not be repeated for credit.
