Catalog description

Enrollment restricted to second degree students only. Explores the nursing care of adults and the implications of acute and chronic conditions on the physiological, psychological, and socio-cultural aspects of individuals and families. Analyzes medical and surgical interventions for a variety of commonly encountered diseases/disorders/illnesses. Evaluates primary, secondary and tertiary prevention strategies in order to assist adults in maximizing wellness and introduces patient teaching strategies. Offered by Nursing .
