Expands students’ knowledge of the drivers of health, anatomy, physiology, and the basic sciences to introduce core concepts of pathophysiology and pharmacology. Emphasis is placed on understanding disease mechanisms and drug actions, and their application to nursing practice. Through exploration of common health conditions, students will learn to integrate pathophysiological and pharmacological principles into clinical assessment, patient care, and health promotion to support holistic recovery and improve outcomes.
